Plan for winter operations management<\/strong><\/p>\n

The plan aims to define roles, tasks, best practices to follow, and regulate internal and external communication to optimize the management of winter events.<\/p>\n

Winter operations: what users MUST know<\/strong><\/p>\n

  1. MANDATORY<\/strong>\u00a0use of winter tires;<\/li>\n
  2. Pay attention to\u00a0messages displayed on VMS<\/strong>\u00a0(Variable Message Signs) with particular reference to:
    \n“indication of snow event (snow\/sleet\/ice pictogram) and affected highway section”;<\/em>
    \nThis indication informs users to pay particular attention while driving due to the possible presence of sleet, snow, ice that can alter normal transit conditions on the highway platform.
    \nUsers therefore MUST proceed with particular caution, attention, respect for mandatory signs and, where necessary, further reduce speed avoiding sudden actions with their vehicle.<\/li>\n
  3. Pay attention to messages displayed on VMS with particular reference to:
    \n“Operational vehicles in action”<\/em>
    \nThis indication informs users about the presence of vehicles for winter operations management on the carriageway that proceed at reduced speed. In case of emergency, they may use carriageway crossovers or stop on the carriageway\/near junctions to perform their activities.
    \nUsers therefore MUST proceed with particular caution, attention, respect for mandatory signs and, when approaching these vehicles, further reduce speed avoiding sudden actions with their vehicle. Please note that it is FORBIDDEN to use carriageway crossovers that may be open on the highway section for vehicles not expressly authorized.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n <\/div>\r\n\r\n \r\n <\/details>\r\n\n\n\r\n \r\n     \r\n
